A HAFTR student back in 1985, Joseph then received his Bachelors and Master's degree at the University of Rochester. He received Smicha from Rabbi Rudinsky of Monsey in 2003. Joseph was a Rebbe, Athletic Director and Basketball Coach at the Adolph Schreiber Hebrew Academy of Rockland (ASHAR) for three years. Joseph started playing tennis when he was six years old and competed in local, national, collegiate and international tournaments. He has been teaching tennis for over 25 years.
Joseph grew up in Belle Harbor, NY and now lives in Monsey with his wife Chaya, daughters Rachel and Sarah and sons Moshe and Yaakov.
We are delighted to welcome back Rabbi Ari Katz as our Assistant Director and Director of Programming. Rabbi Katz is currently the Assistant Principal at the Yeshiva of Central Queens. Previously, he was the Assistant Principal and Director of Student Activities at Hillel Yeshiva in Deal New Jersey. For six summers, he was the Head counselor at HALB’S Avnet Country Day School. Rabbi Katz has a degree in Accounting from Sy Syms School of Business and is continuing in a Masters in Education and Administration program.
Ari will be joined by his wife Deena, who will serve as the Assistant Program Director. The Katzs will plan the daily Mesorah schedules and events. Ari and Deena (a Mesorah couple) are excited to bring their three children Yonatan, Talia and Ayala to camp as well.
The Katzs spend their winter months in Bergenfield, New Jersey.
He is a Rebbi at Yeshivat Reishit Yerushalayim and Machon Maayan in Bet Shemesh.
He has smicha from Ner Israel Rabbinical College in Baltimore and a Masters in Education from Johns Hopkins University.
He has two published books: DISCOVER: Answers for Teenagers (and Adults) to Questions about the Jewish Faith (Feldheim) and TIMEOUT: Sports Stories as a Game Plan for Spiritual Success. Rabbi Lipman has been with Sportstar Academy for the last nine summers. His wife and their four children made aliyah 5 years ago and live in Bet Shemesh.
A Toronto native, Rabbi Neuberger received semikha from Yeshiva University’s affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary in 1979. He was one of the first to receive Yadin Yadin ordination from RIETS. Rabbi Neuberger is a 1977 graduate of Yeshiva College. He also holds a Master’s degree in psychology from Columbia University.
Medical Director: Dr. Tamar Rosner (Woodmere, NY)
For the past six years, Rabbi Sholom Rosner has served as the rabbi and spiritual leader of Congregation Bais Ephraim Yitzhok in Woodmere, NY. Through his efforts and popularity, the congregation has grown from 15 to 120 families in this short amount of time. Rabbi Rosner is a graduate of Yeshiva University where he received his BA in Economics and received an MS in Jewish Education from the Azrieli School at Yeshiva University. He studied for two years at Yeshivat Shaalavim. As a member of the educational staff at Camp Mesorah since 2002, Rabbi Rosner will assume the position of camp rabbi and head of the educational programming in the summer of 2008. Married to Tamar, a pediatrician, and a father to six children, Rabbi Rosner is a Talmud instructor with one of the most popular shiurim at Yeshiva University and also teaches daf yomi to students around the world via the website www.yutorah.org
Rosh Kollel: Rabbi Meir Goldwicht (New York & Jerusalem) 
Rabbi Goldwicht, a prominent Israeli scholar, educator, and a Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva University's Mazer School of Talmudic Studies, is the head of the Stone Beit Medrash Program.
Rabbi Goldwicht joined YU as a Rosh Yeshiva at Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) and the Mazer Yeshiva Program. He received semicha from the renowned rabbinic authorities Rabbi Zalman Nehemia Goldberg in 1980, and HaRav HaGaon Betzallel Zolti Zt"l chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, and Rabbi Ovidyah Yosef, HaRav Rashi of Israel. Rabbi Goldwicht has been a Ram at Yeshiva Kerem B'Yavneh, and has given shiurim extensively at Stern College, all over the metropolitan area, and in Israel.
Naomi is a founding staff member of Camp Mesorah and has served in a variety of positions such as division head, chinuch stafff, office staff and assistant head counselor. She is currently beginning her eighth summer as girls head counselor. During the year she teaches language arts to junior high school students at the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey in River Edge, New Jersey. She has taught at RYNJ for the past eleven years. Prior to that she coordinated resource room services at North Shore Hebrew Academy in Great Neck, NY for ten years. When she is not working on making Girls campus incredible she is a mom to five wonderful children who have gone through or are continuing to enjoy Camp Mesorah and wife to Rabbi Mark Landsman, Principal of Yeshiva of Central Queens. GO GIRLS CAMPUS!!!!!!
Lisa has been the Head Counselor for the teen girls program at Camp Mesorah for the past seven years. She is the Assistant director of Midreshet AMIT, a woman’s seminary in Jerusalem. Lisa is a graduate of Stern College for Women with an MA in Bible from Bar Ilan University. A veteran teacher, with experience in Jewish education in the U.S., Australia and Israel, Lisa is currently a doctoral student in Bible at Bar Ilan. Lisa, her husband Rabbi Michael Fredman and family reside in Efrat, Israel.
Sheri plays the role of Mom during the summer. She assists all girls who have special dietary requirements, including children with gluten, peanut and other allergies. Sheri lives is Woodmere with her husband Shalom and their four children. She has a Masters Degree in Special Education. She is also the founder of HeadHunters, a lice checking and removal service.
Deborah has been the boy’s camp mother since 2006. She is there to help with all their needs from dietary requirements to being a “Mom” they can talk to. Deborah lives is West Hempstead with her husband Stephen and their four children. Deborah has a Masters Degree in Audiology.
Dr. Lazerson holds a Ph.D. in educational research and evaluation from the State University of New York at Buffalo, with a minor in urban education; a Masters degree in special education from the State University College at Buffalo, NY and a Bachelor of Science in American studies, State University of New York at Buffalo. He also holds a Bachelor of Divinity from the Rabbinical College of America in Morristown, NJ.
Director of Girl's Sports: Shira Englander (Boca Raton, FL) 
Shira has been in Camp Mesorah for nine years, starting as a CIT and working on the sports staff. This year will be her fourth summer as Head of the Girls' Sports. During the year, Shira is Director of Student Activities at the Weinbaum Yeshiva High School. She is the mother of 3 wonderful children who enjoy camp as much as she does and the wife of Rabbi Adam Englander, Principal of Hillel Day School of Boca Raton, former Boys' Head Counselor at Camp Mesorah, and now a member of the Chinuch Staff.
Director of Boys Sports: Ushie Selevan (Teaneck, NJ) 
Eric Maslin, Director of Boys’ Waterfront: Eric and his wife Abbie have 3 children and live in West Hempstead, New York. He spends his winters as a Special Education Middle School Teacher in the Roosevelt Public Schools. His part-time work includes: Early Intervention Special Instruction Therapy, teaching Bar Mitzvah lessons, tutoring in all academic subjects, and teaching private swimming lessons.
Mindy Haar, girls’ waterfront director, has been running swim programs for more than 30 years and looks forward to her 18th summer at Camp Mesorah. She is American Red Cross certified as a Waterfront Safety Instructor, Waterfront Lifeguarding Instructor, CPR and First Aid Instructor. All four Haar children have spent many happy years as campers and subsequently waterfront staff at Camp Mesorah.
Mindy, a registered dietitian and certified personal trainer, is the Chairperson of the Department of Clinical Nutrition at the New York Institute of Technology.
Summer Assistant Office Manager: Rena Fuchs (Teaneck, NJ)
Mo has been the Varsity Hockey coach at TABC for the last 14 years. He is the founder of the TABC Junior Hockey League for boys and the Maayanot Junior Hockey League for girls. He is well known for his coaching and mentoring abilities.
Mo runs the hockey program at Camp Mesorah.
Rina runs a toddler playgroup in Teaneck during the school year and works in the main office in Camp Mesorah handling many business and administrative matters.
Avromy has been in the Jewish music field for over 34 years. For the last 25 years +/-, he has been a band leader, singer and keyboard player for Neshoma Orchestra. Avromy has been expanding over recent years into the “One Man Band” field as well. Avromy taught music in HANC, and has been involved with many schools on a consulting basis for specific musical events. In addition, Avromy has been involved in numerous recordings, singing and arranging vocal parts for many of Jewish music’s premier artists. Perhaps his greatest honor, Avromy is a member of the “Shlockrock Hall of Fame”!! Avromy has enjoyed the last five summers in Camp Mesorah, serving as the music director and playing at all Camp Mesorah functions.
Tzipporah is a third grade general studies teacher at the Ramaz Lower School (1993- present) She has been involved in drama her whole life. The highlight of her summers as a camper in a co-ed orthodox sleep-away camp was acting in both musicals and plays from 8 years old through 21 years old! The stage presence and acting skills she gained provided her with self-confidence and a place to show her talents. Campers involved in Drama will undoubtedly gain valuable experience and a lifetime of memories.
Atara Weisberger has a Master's degree in Natural Resource Management and spent most of her environmental career in the area of environmental education working initially for the U.S. EPA and then moving into the public and, later, Yeshiva school system. Atara is also the Education Chair and a founding member of the cutting edge non-profit organization Canfei Nesharim which works to educate the Orthodox community about the intersection between halachah and modern environmental issues. Over the last five years, Atara has built a second career as a personal trainer and nutrition consultant and owns Teva Wellness. Atara loves Camp Mesorah and her role as the coordinator of Mesorah Outback outdoor adventure program for girls and can't wait for another successful year! Atara lives in Passaic, NJ with her three delicious kids.
Rabbi Avi Haar is director of the waiter learning program which is entering its third year. He formerly served as Mesorah boys sports director and has been part of the Mesorah family for 17 years. He is a Rebbe and Israel Guidance director at the Rambam Mesivta in Lawrence, New York.
Rabbi Moshe (Matt) and Alisa Weinberg (and family) are excited to be coming back for what they hope to be another great summer! Moshe and Alisa are a genuine "Mesorah couple" having met in camp many years ago when they were campers and members of the staff. During the year, Moshe is a Rebbe at TABC and Alisa is one of the best mommies around. This year, Moshe is looking forward to creating an expanded learning program for the staff with nightly shiurim in gemara, parsha, halachah and chassidus. Moshe and Alisa live in Teaneck NJ with their two daughters, Gavriella and Zehava.
Nikki Lives in New Milford, NJ with her husband Daniel and their three daughters. She is an am an Art Therapist and works with children throughout the year. She loves spending the Summer at Camp Mesorah. She loves the ruach of the kids, the warmth of the staff and the overall wonderful atmosphere the camp provides to both campers and staff alike. She looks forward to working in the Art Room and in the Pottery Barn with your kids. She looks forward to providing them with great projects, teaching them some new art techniques, and of course reintroducing them to some old favorites!!
Divsha Tollinsky has served as the science teacher at the Ramaz Lower School for the past 7 years and is the director of the after school program there as well. In her early years at Ramaz, she was a first and second grade teacher. During the past seven summers, she ran backyard camps in Teaneck and Bergenfield, NJ for children aged 3 through 6 years. Divsha and her husband Martin are currently the youth directors for Rinat Yisrael in Teaneck, NJ. Divsha has a masters degree in Early Childhood Special Education and is finishing a masters degree in Supervision and Administration.
Divsha lives in Teaneck, NJ and has four children who are very excited to come to Camp Mesorah this summer!!
Dari Ben-Naim grew up in Lexington, Ma and moved to New York City 18 years ago. Has an Associates degree in business and worked in the garment industry as a Production Manager working for a manufacturing company she then worked for News America Marketing a division of News Corp. as an Executive Assistant to senior management for eight years. Prior to working at Camp Mesorah Dari worked in the capacity of Office Manager for Data Conversion Laboratories. Dari is a full time employee working throughout the year and has been with us since 10/07. Dari has been married for almost seven years to her husband Shlomi, has two beautiful boys Noam and Yosef and lives in Jamaica, Queens.
Nicole is a Speech Therapist and has worked for the NYC Department of Education for the past eleven years. Nicole, her husband Yehuda, and their three children hail from Cedarhurst, NY.
Aerobics Instructor:
Dena Lipman has a bachelor’s degree from Touro University in Psychology, a teacher's certificate in early childhood education, and is a certified aerobics instructor.
She has been a trainer at Curves, teaches body toning at Machon Maayan, and teaches gym at Magen Avot in Beit Shemesh. She has taught ballet and art to children as well.
She is a mother to four wonderful children - Shlomo (11), Devora (8), Chaya (7), Zahava (4)..
Director of Culinary Activities: Joni Schottenstein (Columbus, OH)
Director of Advertising & Promotion: Mark Zomick (Teaneck, NJ) 
Mark spent 13 years at MediaVest Worldwide, one of the country's largest purchasers of television commercial time. He worked in many capacities and concluded his stint there in the Strategic Resources Group.
In 2002 he was named the Comptroller at Main Event Caterers in Englewood and in 2004 he became Vice President; Director of Operations at Ariel Tours.
In 2006 Mark became COO of A&M Media, a magazine publisher. A&M’s flagship publication, Tu Tarjeta Y Màs, is distributed with pre-paid telephone cards. Mark is currently a Sr. Partner at MediaEdge working on the AT&T account.
Since 1985 Mark has been a volunteer producer and guest host of JM in the AM.
Mark lives in Teaneck with his wife Rachelle (Weinberg) and their children- Shoshana, Leora and Adam. They attend the Young Israel of Teaneck where Mark is President.
