Kollel
The center piece of Camp Mesorah, quite literally, is the Camp Mesorah Kollel. Located in the middle of Camp, the Kollel serves as a place for serious yeshiva students to focus their time learning in a more relaxed environment. Each summer a small group of young men is chosen to join the Kollel, which was founded and is still led by Rabbi Meir Goldwicht. Rav Goldwicht, Rosh Yeshiva at YU and rebbe for many throughout the US and Israel, inspires and teaches not only the boys in the Kollel, but the entire camp as well. Each week, his Shabbat morning sichot (lectures) and his Shabbat afternoon onegs are attended by many Camp Mesorah staff members, campers and guests.
Because the Mesorah Kollel is in the middle of the Camp, passing by the Kollel allows campers and staff to be inspired by the Torah that is learned throughout the day. It is a testament to the values that Camp Mesorah holds so dear.
